
Profender for Cats is a topical worm treatment. It is designed to treat and control infections caused by common intestinal worms. This wormer for cats comes in an easy-to-apply topical form, eliminating the stress and hassle of giving a pill to your cat. Typically, just one application is effective and often a second treatment may not be required unless there is a reinfection. When used as directed, Profender topical wormer for cats is effective against:
Kittens and cats 8 weeks of age or older, weighing 2.2 lbs or greater.

Praziquantel
This product is for topical use on cats only. Wash your hands after handling the treatment.
This topical formula should be used with caution in sick, debilitated, and heartworm-positive cats. Consult a vet before use. Do not let the cat lick the application area for one hour after application. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should avoid direct contact with this product or wear gloves when applying.
Keep this treatment away from the cat's mouth or eyes while applying. Do not allow children to come in contact with the application site for 24 hours after application. Keep the treated cat separated until the application is dry to prevent other pets from licking the treated area.
Profender is not recommended for kittens under 8 weeks of age or below 2.2 lbs of body weight. The safety of this topical has not been evaluated in breeding, pregnant, and lactating cats. The efficacy of this treatment when applied before bathing has not been evaluated.
Do not administer this treatment orally. Avoid applying it to broken skin and on a wet coat. It is not indicated for use in humans.
Store at or below 77°F (25°C). Protect it from freezing.
Profender for cats is a topical broad-spectrum worm treatment, suitable for use in kittens and cats from 8 weeks of age with at least 2.2 lbs of body weight. It is effective against a range of common intestinal worms that can infect cats.
When used as directed on the label, Profender is effective against adult and immature stages of roundworms as well as hookworms. It also treats and controls tapeworm infections.
Profender for cats contains emodepside and praziquantel. After application, these active ingredients are absorbed into the cat's skin and reach the intestinal tract. Praziquantel eliminates tapeworms, whereas emodepside is effective against adult and immature stages of hookworms and roundworms.
As mentioned on the product label, one application should kill existing worms in cats and there should not be a need for a second treatment. In case the cat is infected again, you may apply another treatment one month after consulting a veterinarian.
You can use Profender topical on your kitten when they are 8 weeks of age and weigh at least 2.2 lbs.
If your cat licks the application, they may experience salivation and vomiting. Typically, these reactions do not last for long and don't affect the safety or efficacy of the treatment. If you suspect anything unusual, talk to your vet.
