Equimec Paste for Horses

Equimec Paste is an oral broad-spectrum parasite control solution for horses. Designed to treat and control a wide range of internal parasites, it is effective against roundworms, including arterial larval stages of Strongylus vulgaris and benzimidazole-resistant small strongyles, bots, and skin lesions caused by Habronema and Draschia spp. (summer sores) and Onchocerca spp. microfilariae (cutaneous onchocerciasis).

Suitable for horses of all ages, including mares and stallions, this easy-to-administer paste targets multiple species of parasites such as Large and Small Strongyles, Hairworms, Pinworms, Bots, Large mouth stomach worms, Intestinal threadworms, Neck threadworms, and Lungworms. Its low-dose formula ensures comprehensive protection, and the convenient trigger applicator provides precise dosing for effective treatment.

• Administer orally at the recommended dosage of 200 µg ivermectin per kg of body weight.
• Each syringe is sufficient to treat one horse weighing up to 600 kg.
• Each weight marking on the plunger corresponds to 1.07 g of paste, enough for 100 kg of body weight.
• Unlock the knurled ring by turning it 1/4 turn and slide it along the plunger shaft to the appropriate weight marking.
• Turn the knurled ring 1/4 turn to lock it in place and remove the plastic cap from the nozzle.
• Ensure the horse's mouth is free of feed before administration.
• Insert the syringe into the side of the horse's mouth, positioning it in the gap between the front and back teeth.
• Depress the plunger fully to place the paste on the back of the tongue.
• Immediately lift the horse's head for a few seconds to ensure the complete dose is swallowed.

Ivermectin

• Safe for use in pregnant mares at any stage.
• Stallions can be treated without impacting fertility.
• Do not administer to horses within 21 days of slaughter for human consumption.
• Not for use in animals intended for human consumption.
• Dispose of the empty syringe by wrapping it in paper and placing it in the trash.
• Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing.
• Poisonous if ingested; seek medical attention if swallowed.
