Bravecto Chew for Dogs is a long-lasting, tasty, flavored chewable treatment. It is designed to protect your canine friends from the common external parasites.   • Due to the reduced bioavailability of fluralaner in the fasted state, it should be given with food.
  • If you break or crumble the chew, ensure the entire dose is taken.

This chewable formula contains fluralaner. It is quickly absorbed into the dog's bloodstream after administration. Fluralaner blocks the neurotransmission in fleas and ticks. This causes uncontrollable neuromuscular activities in these parasites and kills them.

Is Bravecto Chew really effective?

According to a controlled lab study referenced in the label, Bravecto Chews start killing fleas within two hours and demonstrate complete effectiveness against fleas 48 hours post-infestation. This treatment has been shown to provide more than 90% effectiveness against all five tick species 72 hours post-infestation as per another lab study referenced in the label.

Is it safe to give Bravecto chew with other treatments?

According to field studies mentioned in the label, this flea and tick chew can be used with antibiotics, steroids, vaccines and anthelmintics. However, you should talk to a vet before using them together with other treatments.

What happens if my dog vomits after giving Bravecto?

If vomiting occurs after administering Bravecto, consult a veterinarian for any underlying cause. If a healthy dog vomits within 3 hours of treatment, give another dose and wait 24 hours before giving another dose. If vomiting occurs after four hours or more, the chew has likely been absorbed and giving another dose is required. If the dog vomits again, avoid giving a third dose and talk to a veterinarian.
