What is Selehold (Generic Revolution) for Dogs?

Selehold is a broad-spectrum spot-on treatment formulated to protect dogs against a range of external and internal parasites. With Selamectin as the active ingredient, the spot-on solution is effective in the treatment and prevention of flea infestations. It completely breaks the flea cycle with its adulticidal, larvicidal, and ovicidal properties.

It is also indicated for the treatment of sarcoptic mange and adult roundworms. This monthly treatment is effective for the treatment of ear mites and biting lice infestations. Suitable for dogs and puppies from 6 weeks of age, Selehold is also indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease.

How Does Selehold (Generic Revolution) Work?

Selehold features a potent active ingredient: Selamectin, which is a semi-synthetic compound of the avermectin class that protects dogs against internal and external parasites. After administration, selamectin rapidly gets absorbed into the bloodstream and kills fleas, mites, lice, heartworm microfilaria and intestinal worms. It works by disrupting the nervous system of the parasite, which leads to paralysis and eventually death.

• Weigh your pet to ascertain the right dosage
• Take the pipette out of the package and hold it upright
• Twist the cap and pull it off
• Turn the cap around and place the other end on the pipette
• Push and twist the cap to break the seal, then remove the cap
• Now, part your dog's hair between the shoulder blades at the base of their neck to expose the skin
• Place the tip of the pipette onto the skin and squeeze to empty the entire contents in one spot
• After administration, wash your hands and dispose of the used pipette

• Do not apply when the dogs coat is wet
• Avoid frequent swimming or shampooing as it may impact the effectiveness of the treatment
• For ear mite treatment, do not apply directly to the ear canal
