Milbemycin Oxime and Praziquantel
According to the product label, this wormer is safe for pregnant female dogs and breeding male and female dogs. Keep it out of reach of children, pets and uninformed people.
Before starting this treatment, test your dog for existing heartworm infections. Wash your hands after handling this product.
Interceptor Plus is not indicated for use in puppies younger than two weeks of age.

Interceptor Plus (Interceptor Spectrum) is a broad-spectrum wormer for dogs. Formulated in a real chicken-flavored chew, it protects from heartworm disease and all four common intestinal worms that can infect dogs.
This worm treatment for dogs contains milbemycin oxime and praziquantel. After administration, it works systemically to protect against internal parasites. Milbemycin oxime prevents heartworm disease by eliminating the tissue stage of heartworm larvae acquired from mosquitoes within the past month. It also helps treat and control roundworm, hookworm and whipworm infections. Praziquantel targets tapeworms.
Interceptor Plus (Interceptor Spectrum) contains milbemycin oxime and praziquantel. It protects dogs from heartworm disease, roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms. On the other hand, Interceptor Flavor Tablet uses milbemycin oxime as its active ingredient. It protects from heartworm disease, hookworms, roundworms and whipworms.
You can begin treating your puppy with Interceptor Plus from two weeks of age with any body weight.
For dogs that do not take the chew directly from your hand, you can hide the tablet in their food, ensuring the dog takes the complete dose.
Puppies should be treated at the ages of 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks. Consult a veterinarian for tailored dosing recommendations.
According to the manufacturer, when administered as directed on the label, Interceptor Spectrum has been demonstrated to be safe in healthy dogs. It is approved for use in dogs and puppies 2 weeks of age and older.
If you miss a dose, administer a dose immediately and resume the monthly schedule.
According to the product label, you should get your dog tested for existing heartworm infections. If the dog is infected, treat your dog to remove adult heartworms at the discretion of your veterinarian.
When you are replacing your dog's heartworm preventive containing DEC (Diethylcarbamazine citrate) with Interceptor Plus, administer the first dose of this treatment within 30 days of your dog's previous preventive. For any other heartworm preventive, continue with the monthly dosing schedule.
