When used as directed on the label, Seresto Collar for cats protects against:

Fleas

• Repels & kills fleas before they have a chance to lay eggs.
• Kills fleas that may transmit flea tapeworm infections and other vector-borne diseases (Bartonellosis, Feline infectious anemia & Rickettsiosis) by killing fleas.
• Helps reduce the risk of further flea infestations, flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) or flea bite hypersensitivity (FBH) by killing fleas.

Ticks

• Repels & kills Black-legged (Deer) ticks, Brown dog ticks, American dog ticks & Lone Star ticks.
• Kills ticks that may transmit Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis and other vector-borne diseases.
• Helps reduce the risk of new tick infestations.

Indicated for

Kittens and cats 10 weeks of age or older.

• 8-month defense: Effectively protects from fleas & ticks for up to 8 months.
• Kills on contact: Works through contact, preventing painful bites of fleas and ticks.
• Combined action: Uses imidacloprid and flumethrin for dual-action protection against fleas and ticks.
• Safety mechanism: Features a unique safety-release mechanism to prevent choking.

• Take the collar from the protective bag when you are ready to use it.
• Unroll the collar, ensuring no remnants from the plastic connectors are left inside the bag.
• Insert the end of the collar through the buckle.
• Fasten the collar around your cat's neck, leaving a gap of two fingers between the collar and the neck.
• Pull the excess part of the collar through the loop(s).
• Cut the excess length, leaving approximately 1 inch (2 cm) beyond the loops.
• If you are using the collar on a growing kitten, do not cut the excess length.
• Check the collar from time to time and adjust when necessary.
• For uninterrupted protection, ensure the cat wears the collar continuously.
• Replace it with a new collar every 8 months.
• It features a unique release mechanism. If your cat is trapped, the cat's own strength is enough to widen and quickly release the collar.

This collar is for external use on cats only. For your cat's safety, ensure it is not fitted too tightly. Keep it in the protective bag and do not take the collar out of the packaging until use. Wash your hands after handling and keep the collar out of reach of children.

Precautions

Consult a veterinarian before using it on aged, debilitated, breeding, pregnant or nursing cats. Avoid contact with the collar if you are sensitive to any of the active ingredients in the collar.

Do not attach a leash to the collar. Consult a vet before using it together with your cat's other treatments. It can be a choking hazard. Keep it away from children and pets.

Contraindications

Seresto is not indicated for use in kittens under 10 weeks of age. Do not use this collar on humans or any other animal species.

Storage Instructions

Store the collar in a cool, dry place and in its original container. Avoid using the container for food storage or other purposes. Do not contaminate food, water or feed by storage or disposal.
