Capstar – Fast-acting Flea Tablet For Cats

Capstar for Cats is an oral flea treatment. It is designed to provide quick relief from fleas. This oral formula has been shown to begin killing adult fleas within 30 minutes and achieve more than 90% efficacy against adult fleas within approximately six hours. It is suitable for use in most cat breeds, including pregnant and nursing felines. When used as directed on the label, Capstar flea tablet for cats is effective against:

Fleas

• Kills adult fleas on cats before they have a chance to lay eggs.
• Helps treat flea infestations on cats.
• Helps reduce the risk of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) by killing fleas.

Active Ingredient

Nitenpyram

Indicated for

Kittens and cats 4 weeks of age and older, weighing at least 2.0 lbs.

• Fast-acting treatment: Begins killing adult fleas within 30 minutes of administration.
• Rapid relief: Known to achieve over 90% of efficacy against adult fleas within 6 hours.
• Ideal during heavy infestations: Rapid flea-killing activity makes it an excellent choice during active infestations.
• Simple & easy dosing: Can be given directly or by mixing with their food.
• Safe & reliable: Recommended for cats from 4 weeks, including nursing and pregnant cats.
• Can be given daily: Safe to give as frequently as once per day.
• Compatible: Suitable to use together with long-term and other feline treatments.

• This flea treatment can be administered directly by placing the tablet in the cat's mouth.
• Alternatively, it can be given by hiding it in your cat's favorite food. Watch your cat closely to ensure the entire dose is consumed. If you suspect that the full dose is not taken, give another full dose.
• A single dose of Capstar should kill adult fleas on cats. In case the cat is re-infested, administer another tablet, not exceeding one dose per day.

Nitenpyram

When used as directed, this flea treatment is considered safe for pregnant and nursing cats. It may be used with other flea products, heartworm preventives, dewormers, antibiotics, corticosteroids, vaccines and shampoos.

Precautions

Keep this treatment out of reach of children to avoid accidental ingestion.

Contraindications

Capstar is not indicated for kittens below 4 weeks of age or less than 2 lbs of body weight. It is not for use in humans.

Storage Instructions

Store between 59° and 77°F (15°-25°C), at controlled room temperature.
