Panacur for Dogs 1.0 gm is a broad-spectrum wormer that helps treat intestinal worm infections in dogs. This oral formula is effective against immature and mature stages of common gastrointestinal worms that can infect dogs. It also helps treat lungworm and protozoa (Giardia spp.) infections in puppies. Suitable for both young and adult dogs, this dewormer caters to canines of various ages and sizes. When used as directed, Panacur Granules 1.0 gm is effective against:

Intestinal worms

Indicated for the treatment of the following infections:

• Roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina)
• Hookworms (Ancylostoma spp., Uncinaria spp.)
• Whipworms (Trichuris spp.)
• Tapeworms (Taenia spp.)

Lungworms & Protozoa

• Treatment & control of lungworm (Oslerus osleri) infections.
• Treatment of Protozoa (Giardia spp.) infections.

Active Ingredient

Fenbendazole 222 mg/g

Indicated for

Puppies and dogs two weeks of age or older as part of a vet-recommended deworming schedule.

• Multi-worm treatment: Effective against a wide variety of worms, including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms.
• Lungworms & protozoa: Helps treat protozoa and lungworm infections.
• Convenient administration: The granules can be added to the dog's favorite food, making them easy to give.

• Weigh your dog to administer the appropriate dosage.
• Administer this treatment orally.
• The treatment should be administered by mixing it into your pet's food.

Adult Dogs

• The standard recommended dosage for adult dogs is 100 mg fenbendazole per 2.2 lbs of body weight as a single dose.
• In case of natural re-infection, repeat the treatment.
• Adult dogs with minimal exposure to infection should be treated 2-4 times a year.
• Dogs in kennels should be treated more frequently, at 6-8 week intervals.

Dosage Guide

• 1 g sachet/dose treats 4.4 lbs of body weight as a single dose (1.1 - 2.2 kg).
• 1.8 g sachet/dose treats 8.8 lbs of body weight as a single dose (2.3 – 4.4 kg).
• 4.5 g sachet/dose treats 22 lbs of body weight as a single dose (4.5 – 10 kg).
• For dogs weighing more than 22 lbs, use additional sachets according to body weight.

Weaned Puppies

• The standard recommended dosage for weaned puppies under 6 months of age is 50 mg fenbendazole per 2.2 lbs of body weight daily for 3 consecutive days.
• Treat puppies at the age of 2 weeks, 5 weeks and again before leaving the breeder's premises. They may also require treatments at 8 and 12 weeks of age. The treatment frequency may be reduced afterwards, unless the puppy remains in kennels.

Dosage Guide

• 1 g sachet/dose treats 8.8 lbs of body weight, dosed daily for 3 consecutive days (2.2 – 4.4 kg).
• 1.8 g sachet/dose treats 17.6 lbs of body weight, dosed daily for 3 consecutive days (4.5 – 8.0 kg).
• 4.5 g sachet/dose treats 44 lbs of body weight, dosed daily for 3 consecutive days (8.1 – 20 kg).

Pregnant Dogs

• The standard recommended dosage for pregnant dogs is 25 mg fenbendazole per 2.2 lbs of bodyweight every day from day 40 of pregnancy continuously to two days post-whelping (approximately 25 days).

Dosage Guide

• 1 g sachet/dose treats 17.6 lbs of body weight daily for approximately 25 days.
• 1.8 g sachet/dose treats 35.2 lbs of body weight daily for approximately 25 days.
• 4.5 g sachet/dose treats 88 lbs of body weight daily for approximately 25 days.
• For dogs weighing more than 88 lbs, use additional sachets according to body weight.

Giardia spp.

• For the treatment of Giardia spp. infections, administer 50 mg fenbendazole per 2.2 lbs of body weight daily for 3 consecutive days.

Lungworms

• For the control of lungworm (Oslerus osleri), administer 50 mg fenbendazole per 2.2 lbs of body weight daily for 7 consecutive days.

Fenbendazole

Panacur is for oral use only. Use it as directed by your veterinarian. Keep this treatment out of reach of children, pets and uninformed people. Wash your hands with soap and water after treatment.

Precautions

This treatment only kills the Taenia species of tapeworms. Avoid direct contact with the skin and inhalation of granule dust. If you see tapeworm segments in your dog's stool post-treatment with Panacur, talk to your vet.

Contraindications

Panacur granules are not indicated for puppies younger than two weeks of age.
