Nexgard Chewables for Extra Large Dogs is a monthly external parasitic treatment, indicated for the protection against flea and tick infestations. These beef-flavored, soft chewables kill adult fleas and prevent flea infestation in dogs and puppies from 8 weeks of age, weighing between 60.1-120 lbs. Nexgard Redis also indicated for the treatment and control of black-legged tick, American dog tick, lone star tick, brown dog tick and long-horned tick infestations. By killing black-legged ticks, it also aids in the prevention of Lyme disease.

Nexgard Chewables for Extra Large Dogs is formulated with Afoxolaner (136 mg). After administration, the chewable is quickly absorbed into the dog's bloodstream. As soon as fleas and ticks take the blood meal from Nexgard-treated dogs, they ingest afoxolaner. The active component causes hyperexcitation in fleas and ticks, leading to their paralysis and death in the end.
