What is Interceptor Plus for Dog?

Interceptor Plus is an oral broad-spectrum treatment that protect puppies and dogs against 5 types of common worms. These chicken-flavored chewables are formulated with two powerful active ingredients: Milbemycin oxime and Praziquantel.

This potent combination effectively treats and controls hookworms, roundworms, whipworms, and tapeworms. Suitable for dogs and puppies form 6 weeks of age and weighing at least 2 lbs. Interceptor Plus for dogs is also indicated for preventing heartworm disease.

How Does Interceptor Plus Work?

Interceptor Plus leverages Milbemycin oxime and Praziquantel, the key active ingredients. Milbemycin oxime prevents heartworm disease and treats and controls intestinal worms such as roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms. Praziquantel, on the other hand, treats and controls tapeworm infections.

• Weight your dog beforehand to select the right dosage
• Administer the chew directly in the mouth or mix it with your dog’s food
• Encourage your dog to chew the dosage rather than swallowing it as a whole
• After administration, monitor your dog for a few minutes to ensure that they consume the whole dosage
• If the entire dose is not consumed, re-administer a complete dose
• Before beginning administration, make sure to test your dog for any existing heartworm infections.

Milbemycin Oxime and Praziquantel

• Intended for use in dogs only.
• The safe use of Interceptor Plus has not been evaluated in breeding or lactating dogs.
• For heartworm prevention, it should be given once a month for at least for 6 months after dog’s exposure to mosquitoes.
• Keep it out of the reach of kids and pets.
