Selehold for Cats is an all-in-one spot-on treatment. It is formulated to safeguard your feline friends from a range of common internal and external parasites that can infect cats. This broad-spectrum treatment eliminates the need for multiple treatments, providing protection against different parasites in one application. It comes in an easy-to-use topical applicator for a convenient and hassle-free application. When used as directed on the label, Selehold monthly spot-on treatment effectively safeguards against:

Fleas

  • Kills adult fleas on cats.
  • Kills flea larvae (in the environment), prevents hatching of eggs (on cats and in their environment).
  • Treats & prevents flea infestation.

Heartworms

  • Prevents heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis.

Intestinal worms

  • Indicated for the treatment of adult roundworms and adult hookworms.

    • Weigh your cat and select the pack that closely matches its weight.
    • Remove the applicator just before the application.
    • Twist and pull off the cap by holding it upright.
    • Place the other end of the cap on the applicator by turning it around.
    • Break the seal by pushing and twisting the cap and removing it from the applicator.
    • Part your cat's hair at the base of their neck in front of their shoulder blades until you see the skin.
    • Place the tip of the applicator onto the skin and empty the contents onto a single spot on the cat's skin by squeezing it several times.
    • To prevent heartworm disease, apply within one month of the cat's first exposure to mosquitoes and monthly thereafter until one month after the last exposure to mosquitoes.
    • When you forget a dose, apply one dose immediately and continue with the regular dosing schedule.
    • When switching from another heartworm preventive, apply the first dose of Selehold within a month of the last dose of the previous preventive.
    • To protect from ear mites, do not apply directly to the ear canal.

    This treatment is for topical use only. It can be used during pregnancy and lactation. Wash your hands after use.

    Precautions

    It may be administered to heartworm-positive cats aged 6 weeks or older after consulting a vet. Keep the treated cat away from fire and other sources of ignition for at least 30 minutes or until the application is dry.

    Before application, cats should be tested for existing heartworms and infected cats should be treated with vet-recommended treatments to remove adult heartworms. It is highly flammable; keep it away from heat, sparks, open flames or other sources of ignition. Do not smoke, eat or drink while handling. Avoid contact with the treated animal until the application is dry. If you have a known hypersensitivity to selamectin, talk to your healthcare professional before applying it to your cat.

    Contraindications

    Do not use in kittens under six weeks of age. Avoid using in debilitated cats or cats suffering from concomitant disease. This treatment should not be used in cats with hypersensitivity to selamectin. Do not shampoo your cat frequently and do not apply it to the wet coat. It is not recommended to administer orally.

    Storage Instructions
