The behavior of your\ncat dipping her paw into the water bowl and then licking the water off instead\nof just drinking it in the normal way makes no sense to us. However, for a cat,\nto dip her paw in the water makes her feel comfortable. There are times when\nyour cat may not feel it safe to lower her head into the bowl as it will\nobstruct her view, so she feels that dipping her paw is a better method. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So,\nyour cat comes to you, jumps and sits on your lap and then faces away from you.\nThis may seem to be an insulting behavior for many human family members.\nHowever, the simple reason for this is that your cat trusts you, she trusts you\nimmensely that she can sit around you anywhere by not facing you.
